Seal failure reason analysis
1. The pump shaft sleeve leaks
Many shaft sleeve is not out of seal box, so it is difficult to judge the source of the leak.Leakage of shaft sleeve is generally stable, and leakage of sealing surface is often to increase or decrease.After sealing surface leakage, make the surface rough, but sometimes also could get to the original state.(and sometimes do not have to rush to repair, observed a period of time again)
Around 2. If the seal is wet, but can't see.This creates centrifugal pump during starting running leakage liquid back into the sealing face, ACTS as a barrier.And from the pump flange or joint leakage of liquid drip into the stuffing box.
3. The thermal expansion can make the splice of the graphite ring loose inside the metal parts, also may be due to the low temperature keep the o-rings lose elasticity, and cause leakage.
